Who am I?

I took a personality test just for fun but was surprised to see that it was pretty accurate.

According to the site:

INFPs are introspective, private, creative and highly idealistic individuals that have a constant desire to be on a meaningful path. They are driven by their values and seek peace. Empathetic and compassionate, they want to help others and humanity as a whole. INFPs are imaginative, artistic and often have a talent for language and writing. They can also be described as easygoing, selfless, guarded, adaptable, patient and loyal.

"INFPs are highly intuitive about people. They rely heavily on their intuitions to guide them, and use their discoveries to constantly search for value in life. They are on a continuous mission to find the truth and meaning underlying things. Every encounter and every piece of knowledge gained gets sifted through the INFP's value system, and is evaluated to see if it has any potential to help the INFP define or refine their own path in life."

"An INFP's feelings form the foundations of the individual. They are sacred and binding, in the sense that their emergence requires no further justification. An INFP's feelings are often guarded, kept safe from attack and ridicule. Only a few, close confidants are permitted entrance into this domain."

"Their job must be fun, although not racous, and it must be meaningful to them. They need a strong purpose in their work. They want to be recognized and valued, without undue attention given to them. They may become embarrassed when make the center of attention. As a result, they may undersell their strengths in order to avoid being singled out and made to feel conspicuous. They would rather have their worth be noticed gradually over time."

"INFPs never seem to lose their sense of wonder. One might say they see life through rose-colored glasses. It's as though they live at the edge of a looking-glassworld where mundane objects come to life, where flora and fauna take on near-human qualities."

Buon Giorno!

It's summertime. Me and my high school friends decided that we would go on a roadtrip. My friend recently got a car for her birthday (lucky right?) and then we decided to go to Batangas, then to Sta. Rosa and lastly to Tagaytay.

We got lost while picking up our friend and her super cute baby. They lived in Batangas so we decided to take the star expressway-actex-slex route.

We first had merienda at Razon's in Paseo de Sta. Rosa. Me and the baby played along.

We initially planned to go to Solenad at Nuvali but then decided against it because we were still full and didn't see anyplace we wanted to eat. And also there are really a lot of people.

The traffic was horrendous that day since it was Black Saturday.

We were stuck in traffic for a good 1.5 hour i think. Those northbound were worse.

We then settled at the Cliffhouse then queued for Italian food at Buon Giorno. My friend raves about their food and since there was a line I think that was a good sign.

Cliffhouse Tagaytay

Cliffhouse is located along the national highway and is marked by a lighthouse and signage. I always miss it when we drive along. It is a nice place to enjoy a view of Taal Volcano as well as to eat and relax a bit. There is an inn here for those who want to stay overnight. The establishments at the Cliffhouse include Mochiko, Buon Giorno, Cafe Breton, Fruits in Ice Cream and 2 more restaurants whose names I am unable  to recall. There are rocking chairs around the area and you can lounge around if time permits.

A view of Taal Volcano

It was my first time eating at Buon Giorno! so we had my friend order for us. That night this is what we ate:

Place Setting
I loved the bread that came warm after we placed our order. I could've finished the entire basket myself if I wasn't looking forward to the food as much as I was. The bread was very soft, just the way I like it.

Spaghetti Vongole Gamberti - 310 php

It's a seafood pasta. Reminds me of the Charlie Chan Chicken pasta of yellowcab. Not being a big fan of seafood I was in for a big surprise when I liked this pasta. It was the right kind of salty.

Buon Giorno's Special Salad - 225 php

Ordered this upon the recommendation of the waiter. The dressing is a bit sour and I couldn't really explain it as well as I would like to but I'll try to describe it as savoury. I was not a big fan of the salad as I am more of the Caesar dressing type of girl. The salad though is refreshing. It was also a nice portion and we weren't able to finish it.

Mare Pasto- 270 php

I love this pizza. I love that there's the right amount of cheese. I loved the pesto. The seafood wasn't at all fishy. The dough was crispy and it was pleasing to bite into.

We also ordered the Lamb Chops recommended by the waiter but I wasn't able to take a picture of it. It was 4 pieces served on a bed of mashed potatoes. There was also a mint sauce that came on the side. I am not a big fan of lamb but we decided to try it. I loved the sauce of the lamb if I remember correctly it was a red wine sauce. The mint sauce went well with the lamb though by personal preference I did not care much for it.

I would go back to Buon Giorno for the reasonably priced food, pleasing environment and also to try their coffee and desserts.

As a parting shot, more reasons to go to Tagaytay because of the Sky Ranch the tallest ferris wheel in the country.

Hong Kong: Disneyland

First of all introducing a HK essential: The Octopus Card used in MTRs, and various establishments in HK. Cash free, hassle free transactions anytime, everywhere.

And a random shot of HK dollars.

Onwards to The Happiest Place on Earth

The thing about Disneyland is, it makes you want to believe in Magic. It's just so whimsical that it carries you away.

We arrived in Disneyland just minutes before the parade was about to start. We watched it from Main Street USA.

The rides weren't as thrilling as Ocean Park but that was fine with me since I'm really not a big fan of heart stopping rides. But once you're here you must ride It's A Small World a Disney classic.

Why, hi Thailand who would've known I'll be seeing you in person too.

We only had the afternoon to explore the park and in that time we managed to:

  • Watch the Lion King show
  • Ride the raft to Tarzan's house
  • Ride the train around the park
  • Watch the parade
  • Explore Tarzan's treehouse
  • Ride the river? jungle? ride (special effects like show equivalent to Universal Studios Jurrasic Park attraction without the elevator and the drop)
  • Ride Space Mountain
  • Ride It's A Small World
  • Shop at the souvenir store
  • Take pictures at tomorrowland
  • Watch them lighting up the castle
  • Watch the fireworks
Disappointed I didn't try the food. So hoping that on my next trip there I would get the chance to do so.

Gwiyomi Craze

I watched showtime this afternoon and saw Vice Ganda doing the "Gwiyomi Song"

I find the song very cute and the title is really fitting. After some researching I found out that the song was sung by a Korean Artist named Hari.

Ladies and Gentlemen we may be looking at the next Psy

Full Song

There are even "Best Of" compilations.

Are we possibly looking at the next craze?

Hong Kong: Part 2

Seeing as this trip happened 2 years ago and another trip to Hong Kong is looming I decided to write this post to document my experiences as a first time traveller to a foreign country.

Arrival to Hong Kong and Lantau Island post is here.

I can still remember the first time I went travelling. It was a thrilling experience for me and also a dream come true. I wasn't sure that I would be able to travel to another country and I am very thankful that I did get to go. I have learned valuable things from my experiences in travelling abroad. I have learned to be more aggressive and to plan ahead (though I don't ALWAYS apply this in my daily life).

On to the trip.

2nd day of our HK adventure was the MANDATORY HK tour to J.C Jewelry Factory, Avenue of the Stars, Aberdeen Fishing Village, Mid-Levels Victoria Peak, and the Factory Outlet. It's good that we were driven around by a shuttle to see all these places, but I don't consider it a must for everyone to take this tour.

While getting our mandatory breakfast c/o coupons.

Took pictures whilst we were in the coach.

The part that I am most excited about in this tour is seeing the Avenue of the Stars. Though when we got there the only people I knew were Jackie Chan, Jet Li and Bruce Lee (but since then I've known more Mainland stars because of BBJX). The view of the harbour is great in this area.

I took pictures at the jewellery factory. It's basically a store with a place where you can see how they make the jewellery.

Next up, Aberdeen Fishing Village.

After the tour was finished we were dropped off at Nathan Road and from there we took the MTR to the interchange to the Disney line. But before boarding the Disney line train to Sunny Bay we first explored the area and looked for something to eat since we expected that Disneyland food would be expensive. Ended up in a local neighborhood where it appeared we were the only tourists there. We ate at a restaurant where the waitress did not speak any English. We ended up ordering fried rice, crispy noodles, milk tea, and a random beef dish.

After lunch off we were to Disneyland, the happiest place on Earth.
