On the way home from water camp we passed by the Aguinaldo shrine and so we decided to take pictures or possibly even a tour. It was a Monday so we were expecting that the place is open but it turns out it was open on Tuesdays to Saturdays. So we just canned the idea of doing a tour (which is free) and just roamed around the "park". The place is open to the public, and in addition to comfort rooms there are also parking spaces in the area.
It is amazing to see where Philippine Independence was declared, it stirs up a sense of national pride as well as a sense of gratefulness to those who worked to attain the independence that we are now experiencing. Granted, the Philippines may not be the richest, cleanest, advanced country but we do have our history and culture which is truly unique.
